Recently, Mercedes Benz officially released a group of official drawings of G-class military regulation models. The new car is built based on the civilian model, and on this basis, it is equipped with wading throat and new appearance kit, which looks more rough. At the same time, the new car is equipped with 3.0T turbocharged diesel engine, which has better power performance after re adjustment.
The overall shape of the new car is basically the same as that of the civil version of the big G, but a more hardline appearance kit is added on this basis. The modified wading throat can improve the off-road ability of the car to a higher level.
In the side section, the new car is equipped with off-road tires and smaller rims, and the rear window is equipped with privacy glass. There is little change at the rear of the car. The external spare tire can be retained, and the rear enclosure is made of metal material, which is more protective.
In terms of power, the new car is equipped with a 3.0T turbocharged in-line six cylinder diesel engine, with a maximum power of 183kw (245 HP) and a peak torque of 600nm. Compared with the civil version of Mercedes Benz g 350d, the power is increased by 35% and the torque is increased by 50%. The 8-speed manual transmission is matched with the engine.
Editor’s comments: it seems that the big G in the military regulation version is mainly aimed at the improvement of off-road ability and trafficability, and the power upgrade of the new car is also obvious. Unfortunately, the car should not be introduced to the civil market. Interested partners can take this car as a good modification case.
