A few days ago, Mitsubishi Motor officially announced a group of preview drawings of the plug-in hybrid version of Mitsubishi outlander. The overall shape of the new car is consistent with the new outlander fuel version, and 5-seat and 7-seat models are available. The biggest difference is that a set of plug-in hybrid power system is added. The system will be equipped with two drive motors at the rear wheels, and the pure electric endurance is expected to reach 100km. It is understood that the new car will take the lead in listing in Japan in March next year.
According to the official notice, the appearance of the new car is basically the same as that of the fuel version, but the details are slightly adjusted. The charging interface is designed at the right rear fender, and “PHEV” and “plug-in hybrid EV” signs are set at the side and rear of the car to prove its model identity.
Referring to the interior decoration official drawing released earlier, the interior of the new car will adopt a new design. The suspended central control screen and compact electronic gear handle are more popular configurations at present, and the materials of the new car are more exquisite. The diamond seams on the door panel and seat can enhance the sense of luxury.
In terms of power, the official has not disclosed which engine the new car is equipped with. However, according to the information we know, the Outlander plug-in hybrid model will be equipped with two motors to drive the rear wheels and provide seven different driving modes.
